Activity objective
To create a businessperson to define the characteristics for the final project.
Instructions
Develop a fictional business report that includes:
- Your fictitious businessperson.
- Name and current position in the company.
- Short bio (two paragraphs) that underscores the businessperson's experience at international business, including academic credentials, personal achievements, and professional certifications (if applicable).
- A LinkedIn profile page simulation (create an account in case you haven’t yet).
- The identity of the fictitious consulting firm you are working for.
- Name and branding (logo, slogan, social media, and corporate image).
- What other consulting firms from the real world you would be competing with.
- One “about us” section.
- Mission, vision, values, customer service/satisfaction, etcetera.
- Determine what kind of services you and/or your consulting firm provide, and a brief description of how you do it (Up to four services).
- A consulting firm can offer different services such as maximizing foreign commerce procedures, supporting the implementation of foreign commerce regulations, internal audit assistance regarding the administration of foreign trade, identification of inefficiencies in commercial operations, supporting presentations and following-up with authorities (including the legal counsel), providing advice on international regulations and certifications, developing marketing strategies, global recruitment services, customs brokerage management service (including the paperwork), and overall assistance in the development of international, bilateral, regional or multilateral business opportunities.
- What geopolitical region of the world your company is mostly focused on? (Business-wise).
- Could be an entire continent (like Africa), a subcontinent (the Caribbean or Scandinavia), a regional trade bloc (NAFTA or MERCOSUR), or a common-language group of countries (the Commonwealth or La Francophonie).
- Describe the business environments that prevail in that region (political, cultural, financial, and so on), and add a brief explanation (three paragraphs) as to why this specific region or bloc is relevant to Mexican businesses. You must mention at least three countries as an example.
- Which industries your company have the most experience with? (Select two).
- It can be selected from a more specific pool of industries such as chemical, petroleum, automotive, electronic, food, software, timber, fish, paper, entertainment, cultural, retail, logistics, media, mining, or any other.
- Give a brief explanation of three paragraphs as to why these two specific industries are relevant to the Mexican economy and its business sector and mention as examples at least three companies or businesses from real life.
- Past and present clients that have hired your company, and how you helped and found solutions for them.

Checklist
- The student creates a businessperson.
